Why You Should Join Your Friends

The Friends of the Batavia Library are dedicated to promoting, improving and assisting the library.

The mission of the Friends is:

To stimulate public interest in the Library and its activities.
To communicate the Library’s needs to the community and local governmental bodies.
To enrich the cultural opportunities available to the community through the Library.
To share the enthusiasm for books and other materials and the ideas they engender.
To solicit volunteers for activities of the Library and the Friends organization.
To supplement Library services not provided by public funds.

By joining your Friends you will:

Make new friends.
Have fun.
Enjoy the satisfaction that comes from helping to enrich the lives of the citizens of Batavia by promoting the Library as the cultural center of the community.
