The Friends of the Batavia Library are dedicated to promoting, improving, and assisting the library.  

 

The mission of the Friends is:

  

·   To stimulate public interest in the Library and its activities  

 

·   To communicate the Library’s needs to the community and local governmental bodies  

 

·   To enrich the cultural opportunities available to the community through the Library  

 

   ·To share the enthusiasm for books and other materials and the ideas they engender 

 

·   To solicit volunteers for activities of the Library and the Friends organization 

 

·   To supplement Library services not provided by public funds  

 

By joining the Friends you will:

·   Have fun 

 

·   Enjoy the satisfaction that comes from helping to enrich the lives of the citizens of Batavia by promoting the Library  

    as the cultural center of the community
