Exam proctoring is available free of charge to residents of the Batavia Public Library District and to individuals who own property within the Batavia Public Library District.
For non-residents / non-property owners, there is a fee of $25 per exam.

Library staff members who have been appointed as notaries public by the State of Illinois are available to notarize documents, free of charge, during most Library hours. To confirm that a notary public will be available when you visit the Library, please call (630) 879-4777 to inquire.
The Library has a number of personnel who are trained as Voter Registrars. It is best to call the Library, (630) 879-1393, to make sure a Registrar will be working when you plan to visit.
When registering to vote, please bring two forms of identification. At least one must be a photo ID, and at least one must have your current address.
The library provides a self-serve public fax machine. You must have a credit card to use the fax machine.
Domestic faxes cost $1.50 for the first page and $1.00 for every additional page.
International faxes cost $4.95 for the first page and $3.45 for every additional page.
