Computer Use

You can log into our computers with any SWAN library card or use a guest pass from the Reference Desk. We also have laptops available to checkout for in-library use only.


Use of Public-Access Computers and Acceptable Use of the Internet

By signing in to use a computer at the Batavia Public Library, you agree to the Policy on Use of Public-Access Computers and Acceptable Use of the Internet.    


Use of Computers with Internet Access by Minors

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for supervising their minor children’s use of public-access computers at the Library. The Library urges parents and legal guardians to take an active interest in their children’s use of the Library. Parents or legal guardians have the option of restricting their minor children from accessing public-access computers owned by the Library. This option does not apply to use of Catalog Stations. 

Printing

Printing is available from all Library Computers and via WiFi. Black and white printouts cost 10¢ per page. Color printouts cost 20¢ per page. Coins, bills, credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Samsung Pay are accepted at the print stations.

Print from Anywhere

Your print jobs can be retrieved from the printer on the main level of the Library (near the Adult Services Reference Desk) during Library hours. Unclaimed print jobs are deleted 24 hours after they are sent.

Copying

Copiers are available in the Circulation, Adult & Teen, and Children’s areas. Black and white printouts cost 10¢ per page. Color printouts cost 20¢ per page. Coins, bills, credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Samsung Pay are accepted at the copy stations.

Scanning

Scan to flash drive, email, or Google Drive at the SimpleScan station in the Local History Room. Scanning is free.

Faxing

Faxing is available on the SimpleScan station in the Local History Room. Faxing is free.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi Internet access is available throughout the Library. No password is needed.
