Monetary Donations
You can donate online through the Community Foundation of Fox River Valley, a 501©(3) foundation whose mission is to support current and future facilities, programs, and services of the Batavia Public Library.
Donations can also be mailed directly to the Batavia Public Library. Please make checks payable to the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley with Batavia Public Library in the memo.
Memorial / Recognition
Remember a loved one, or celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or another special occasion with a monetary donation to the Library for a gift book (or other materials for the collection, such as DVDs or audiobooks).
A gift of $25 will purchase one book for the adult collection; a gift of $15 will purchase one book for the children’s collection. Certain kinds of books (or other items) will be more expensive. In case of larger or group gifts, multiple books can be purchased.
Librarians will select appropriate materials in a subject area of the donor’s choice. A personalized book plate will be placed in the book or other material to give recognition to the person honored.
Books / Materials Donations
Donate your books, DVDs, and CDs to the Library! Most of the materials will be given to the Friends of the Batavia Public Library for their book sales, which support Library initiatives. Some donations may also enhance our collection or aid Library programs and services. Please bring donations in boxes that you don’t need returned to the Check Out Desk during regular Library hours. If you have a large donation, call (630) 879-1393 to arrange for staff assistance at the lower-level staff door. Thank you for your generosity!
