Test Proctoring Request

General information about proctoring:

  • Proctoring is available to any student age 16 years or older.
  • There is no charge for proctoring. However, students will be responsible for mailing fees if the school requires exams be submitted by mail.
  • Proctoring is by appointment only. Exams are scheduled based on the availability of rooms and staffing.
  • Appointments may be scheduled:
    • Monday through Thursday 9:30 am to 8:30 pm
    • Friday and Saturday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
    • Sunday 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm
    • Proctoring requests must be submitted at least 7 days in advance of the proposed test date to ensure staff and room availability.
    • Students are limited to one proctored exam per day.
  • The proctor will be an Adult & Teen Services staff member on duty at the time of the exam.
  • Study rooms are available for two-hour reservations. A reservation may be extended one additional hour to accommodate a proctored three-hour test. Exams must be completed 30 minutes before the library closes.
  • Test materials may be printed at a charge of $0.10 per page.
  • Exam and testing information must be delivered to the library before the date of the exam.
  • You will need to bring a photo ID on the day of the exam.

Our staff cannot:

  • Supervise the test taker during the entire exam
  • Schedule a specific staff member to proctor a particular exam. Staff members staffing the Reference Desk at the time will serve as the proctor.
  • Provide any grading
  • Install any software or disable any features of our network to accommodate a test

When choosing a date and time, please refer to the library proctoring availability guidelines. Library staff will contact you to confirm availability of your requested exam date. No requests are to be considered final until confirmation has been received.

No proctoring can be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays.
